Job Openings
All of our positions posted on 6/18/2007 have been filled; however opportunities may be available for:
- Postdoctoral candidates who have experience with genotyping and are interested in research combining methods of genomics and neuroimaging.
- Postdoctoral candidates who have experience with complex systems and are interested in examining large-scale brain network.
- Postdoctoral candidates who are U.S. Citizens or permanent residents who are interested in using neuroimaging methods to study human auditory and/or language systems, learning, and/or disorders.
Candidates with solid quantitative skills (e.g., substantial coursework in multivariate statistics, signal processing, physics, and biomedical engineering) are especially welcome. Please note that we are not looking for staff (non-PhD) research assistants at this time.
However, if you’re interested in being a Work-Study Research Assistant (current undergraduate Northwestern students who qualify), please send your resume to our lab manager.
6/18/2007 Research Scientists in Complex Auditory Processing at Northwestern University
Multiple research scientist positions (entry-level postdocs and senior research associates) are available in the laboratory of Patrick Wong, Ph.D. at the Northwestern University Interdepartmental Neuroscience Program and the Dept. of Communication Sciences and Disorders (pending final budgetary approval). Research projects involve behavioral, computational, and MRI experiments on speech learning, music perception, and speech perception in noise and auditory processing disorders. Individuals with experience in functional neuroimaging, computational neuroscience, functional genomics, and/or perceptual learning, who have solid quantitative skills, are especially welcom e. For a senior research associate appointment, journal publications in areas addressed by fMRI and prior postdoctoral experience will be highly advantageous. Priority is given to individuals with an earned research doctorate and research experience consistent with our research agenda. Positions are open until filled. Start date flexible. Salary is highly competitive. The Chicago area offers world-class metropolitan, suburban, and rural living possibilities within a 30-mile radius for individuals of diverse backgrounds and interests. Candidates should send CV and a one-page research statement to lab manager (Geshri Gunasekera at geshri-g@northwestern.edu).
